North Western Sunbathing Society is "naturism with the accent on nature." Trees include: ash, beech, holly, oak, scots pine, sycamore, silver birch, et al. Frequent faunal visitors include: badger, rabbit, hare, fox, deer, et al.

There is a diverse range of wild and cultivated flora and, seasonally, there are varied species of birds, butterflies, dragon and damselflies, etc. At 'Hillside' we have no mains or spring water. In consequence, communal drinking water is brought on site by all members. Flushing toilets are provided and the whole site is licenced and approved by Cheshire East Council.

The amenities at Hillside are constantly being improved for the convenience of both members and visitors. The addition of a sauna and shower facility has now been complemented by the new toilet provision behind the pavilion.
